I love words.\u00a0 But I have a few favorites…<\/p>\n

And tonight… I want to talk about a few.\u00a0 Just because… the thing I REALLY want to talk about… I can’t.<\/p>\n

So. Words it is.<\/p>\n

Voracious.
\nWhat a great word.\u00a0 And you KNOW it when it happens.\u00a0\u00a0 Typically, it comes in the way of a voracious appetite.\u00a0 When you sit down with Wimpy at the lunch stand, and you are waiting for your Tuesday Cheeseburger….\u00a0\u00a0 you begin to feel a hunger that is insatiable and unquenchable.\u00a0\u00a0 Your mind takes over.\u00a0 No matter how big that 1\/2-pounder is… it just is NOT going to be enough.\u00a0 You wait and wait… and your hunger becomes\u00a0 unappeasable and almost greedy.\u00a0\u00a0 You know how it plays out…\u00a0 if Wimpy eats one more piece of bread from the bread basket, you are going to take him down….. and HARD.\u00a0\u00a0 But the the burger comes out and you dig in to that yummy sandwich.\u00a0 Before you know it… you are filled to the brim.\u00a0 The voracious appetite has been tamed.<\/p>\n

Haphazard.
\nBoy, oh boy.\u00a0 This is a goody.\u00a0\u00a0 Maybe because I am not so haphazard in my demeanor, or practices.\u00a0 I always plan things out in my head.\u00a0 But if you have the haphazard gene… you may be quite unsystematic, unmethodical, and disorganized.\u00a0 Perhaps even to the point of being arbitrary, aimless, or careless.\u00a0 Some might call it higgledy-piggledy.\u00a0 OCDs… like me… are not higgledy-piggledy.<\/p>\n

Bamboozle.
\nApparently, it must happen fairly often in our world… because people call it by a bunch of different phrases.\u00a0 Like… pull a fast one on, take for a ride, pull the wool over someone’s eyes.\u00a0\u00a0 The best I ever heard was to hornswoggle someone.\u00a0 If you have been hornswoggled….. well… it is just NOT your day.<\/p>\n

Lackadaisical.
\nThat is the big “whatever” word… before people started saying… “whatever.”\u00a0 It is lethargic, apathetic and sluggish.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Maybe even careless, lazy, or lax.\u00a0 But if you are lackadaisical… you are most certainly … unenthusiastic and blas\u00e9.\u00a0\u00a0 (That’s another word I love..blas\u00e9.\u00a0 I like to say it three times in a row and in a low voice.)<\/p>\n

Meander.<\/p>\n

I think this may be my favorite of the evening.\u00a0 I used to be the old “Point A to Point B” kind of gal.\u00a0 Now… these days… I seem to be meandering a bit more.\u00a0 Physically, mentally, and emotionally.\u00a0 It typically means to\u00a0 stroll, saunter, amble,\u00a0 and wander.\u00a0 But it can also imply to meander… say like a river meanders.\u00a0 Zig-zag, twist, turn, curve and bend.<\/p>\n

Yep.\u00a0 It seems with each passing day… I meander more and more.\u00a0 Like now.\u00a0\u00a0 In fact… it has gotten to the point where I have to start leaving popcorn trails.\u00a0 Unfortunately, our dogs have voracious appetites, so this methodology tends to be a bit haphazard.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 So before I lose my way any further tonight, I shall bid you ado.\u00a0\u00a0 A lackadaisical state has over taken me….and I can’t even find my popcorn trail….. at this point.\u00a0\u00a0 Pathetic.<\/p>\n

Oh wait… that’s another favorite word of mine… pathetic…….. .. .<\/p>\n
