Maybe I am a flake.
\nOr it could be that I am evolving.<\/p>\n

Actually, now that I consider the entire scenario, I think that I am REVOLVING.<\/p>\n

I am talking about my tastes.\u00a0 They change.\u00a0 Not rapidly, but over time.
\nThe first thing that comes to mind is steak.\u00a0 It used to be….. that I could not turn down a really good steak.\u00a0 Now these days, I would prefer a tasty piece of fish.<\/p>\n

There was a time that red was my favorite color.
\nCurrently… it is blue, or green, or orange.\u00a0 Even some purples.\u00a0 But it depends.<\/p>\n

I used to prefer cats.\u00a0 I loved all things feline.\u00a0 Today… give me a dog.\u00a0 A dog day afternoon or a three dog night… or the tail that wags the dog.\u00a0 But give me a dog.<\/p>\n

How about numbers.\u00a0 My favorites used to be seven, and eight.
\nNow my favorite numbers are seven, and eight.<\/p>\n

Okay, that has never changed.<\/p>\n

Popular culture has its fluctuations with me too. Thirty years ago, I liked those stupid goofy comedies.\u00a0 And sappy romances.<\/p>\n

Now I can hardly stand to watch either.\u00a0 I like the “edge of your seat” thriller, scary, mystery, with a big plot twisting-heart pounding finish. But not gory.<\/p>\n

Music stays fairly even with me… but it goes a little round and round.
\nTalking Heads, David Byrne, Talking Heads, David Byrne.\u00a0 I love those Talking Heads and David Byrne.\u00a0 Always have.<\/p>\n

And the genres stay pretty even with me too.\u00a0 I’m not a fan of country, acid rock, or rap.\u00a0 But most anything else…. I’m in.\u00a0 From Doris Day to Green Day.<\/p>\n

Yet.\u00a0 There are times when I really like someone in pop culture.\u00a0 Then, I finally see that individual in an interview.\u00a0 And once that happens, things turn cold.\u00a0 I can hardly stand their music anymore.\u00a0 Joni Mitchell is one.\u00a0 I used to love her music.\u00a0 Then, I heard a couple of interviews with her, and found that she’s a bit of an arrogant meanie.\u00a0 I don’t like meanies.\u00a0 Or arrogance.\u00a0 So. All bets are off.<\/p>\n

However, one thing that stays tried and true.\u00a0 And that is my taste in people…. if I must say so myself.\u00a0 I have great friends.\u00a0 I mean, of the 511 friends here on Facebook… I would say there are 501 that I really like, love and care a great deal for.\u00a0 Amazing, bright, and wonderful people.<\/p>\n

Then there are…. like… the other 10 of you.\u00a0 And you know who you are.\u00a0\u00a0 But just because you are a steak-loving, cat-fancying, dumb-comedy-watchers, who wear red clothes and like Joni Mitchell doing rap….\u00a0\u00a0 doesn’t mean that we still don’t have a chance of being friends…<\/p>\n

You see…. I can be a real flake.\u00a0 My tastes are changing all the time.<\/p>\n
