Puns run in our family.\u00a0 We should be farmers… we are all so corny.\u00a0 Dad was the King of Corn.\u00a0 But the rest of us drop a niblet here and there.<\/p>\n

Now… most people just think puns are simply…. dumb short jokes.\u00a0 SO<\/strong><\/em> NOT TRUE.\u00a0 Sometimes…. they are not short at all.<\/p>\n

Truthfully, the PUN …. also called paronomasia…\u00a0 is a form of word play that suggests two or more meanings.\u00a0 It usually does this by by exploiting multiple meanings of words, or of similar-sounding words, for an intended humorous or rhetorical effect. (Folks…. I don’t write these definitions…. I just spit ’em back out.)<\/p>\n

Anyways.\u00a0 I truly love a good pun.\u00a0 Being a ballplayer, one of my all time favorites is…
\n“I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me.”<\/p>\n

So here are a few more… that are true to my heart, for one reason or another….<\/p>\n

You all know I like a Diet Coke more often than not.\u00a0 BUT….
\nDid you hear about the guy who got hit in the head with a can of soda? He was lucky it was a soft drink.<\/p>\n

We all know I can be a bit of a Geek.\u00a0 Computers, and such.\u00a0 But did you know this?
\nI started a band called 999 Megabytes \u2014 we haven\u2019t gotten a gig yet.<\/p>\n

My favorite snacky food these days is a GREAT Pizza from (the now newly-owned) Rizza.\u00a0 So….
\nYou want to hear a pizza joke? Never mind, it\u2019s pretty cheesy.<\/p>\n

Another thing I love is reading books.\u00a0 But, I am not a very good reader.\u00a0 Not as bad as a friend of mine though.\u00a0\u00a0 He had some bad luck in his own personal library.
\nYep…. my friend recently got crushed by a pile of books, but he\u2019s only got his shelf to blame.<\/p>\n

I grew up Catholic.\u00a0 Masses for everything.\u00a0\u00a0 Funerals, Weddings.. and everything in between.\u00a0\u00a0 This past week I went to a wedding.\u00a0 It was SO emotional…..
\nEven the cake was in tiers.<\/p>\n

Growing up in Catholic School… you learn a LOT.\u00a0\u00a0 For instance.\u00a0 Do you know how to make Holy Water?….
\nBoil the Hell out of it.<\/p>\n

We had good kids at Catholic School.\u00a0 But every once in a while… there was ONE rogue customer.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0\u00a0 We had this kid in my class… and he was possessed.
\nHe was a dyslexic devil worshipper…. and….
\nhe sold his soul to Santa.<\/p>\n

Finally for tonight.\u00a0 A happy note.\u00a0\u00a0 I am an animal lover.\u00a0\u00a0 I know many of you are as well.
\nSo…\u00a0\u00a0 IF you need an ark to save two of every animal…..
