It all started, actually, because I had to pee.\u00a0 Today, I decided to do some things which I KNOW other people do.\u00a0 Things that I don’t normally do.<\/p>\n

So.\u00a0 Let me back up just a little bit with this story, though.\u00a0 I am “Cat Visiting” this week.\u00a0 I”m sort of like a Surrogate Mom, of sorts.\u00a0 I stand in and give the cats love and attention while their real Moms are off looking for Shamrocks and Queens and such.<\/p>\n

At any rate, during my visit today, I had to pee.\u00a0 I knew my friends wouldn’t mind if I used their restroom.\u00a0 But someone before me had not replaced the toilet paper roll.\u00a0 Of course, I had to find a replacement roll… which meant I got to snoop through a whole bunch of their cupboards.<\/p>\n

Man it was fun.\u00a0 I thought… this is something I’ve never done before.\u00a0 But I am well aware that other people do this when they visit friend’s homes.\u00a0 Well… NOW I was doing it.\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 I looked EVERYWHERE for toilet paper.\u00a0 Cupboards, closets, drawers…. WHAT FUN!\u00a0 Well… I found two things.\u00a0 1. the toilet paper.\u00a0 and 2. my friends keep a very tidy house… with very well organized cupboards and drawers.<\/p>\n

So as I was driving home, I thought…. …… I wonder what else I could do…. which is NEW to me… and not so new to others.\u00a0\u00a0 So I tried some stuff.<\/p>\n

1. I stopped by the grocery and bought a box of Twinkies.\u00a0 I never buy Twinkies… but a LOT of people DO.\u00a0 I am not sure what I will do with them, as I don’t eat sugar.\u00a0 I guess I could put them in our Survivalist Food Bunker…. if we had one.
\n2. When I got home, I watched NASCAR on TV.\u00a0 Okay…. on to the next thing.
\n3. Along the same lines… in search of entertainment … I tuned in to a Country Music radio station.\u00a0 Well….. that was not so much for me either.
\n4. Running out of ideas.
\n5. Next, I tried the “lawn chair in the garage” thing.\u00a0 You know.\u00a0\u00a0 I see a lot of people doing this all the time… when I drive through any town…. anywhere.\u00a0 They set up their lawn chairs inside their garages… and they appear to be watching their driveways. \u00a0 I only lasted about 2 minutes.\u00a0 My driveway must not be nearly as interesting to watch as other people’s driveways.\u00a0 Strike Three.<\/p>\n

All in all, it was a good day of exploration.\u00a0 I tried some new things.\u00a0 Albeit, I didn’t care for most of them…. but the first one was a whole bunch of fun.\u00a0 So my lesson for the day?<\/p>\n

Keep an open mind.\u00a0 Try new things.\u00a0 Sometimes it pans out… and other times… it does not.\u00a0 But in the process, I may find something that I really enjoy doing.\u00a0 Something that gives me purpose.<\/p>\n

Yep.<\/p>\n

I can hardly wait until tomorrow when I visit the cats again.\u00a0 My friends have TONS of drawers and closets at their house.<\/p>\n
