Some things these days really antagonize me.
\nAll this jargon-ish gobbledy gook, which happens around the “everywhere” these days.\u00a0 Trite phrases… which have a tendency of making the frog hairs stand up on the back of my neck.<\/p>\n

And you know when someone is pushing around those overdone phrases.<\/p>\n

For instance.<\/p>\n

\u2022 If you are “thinking outside of the box”…. I am wondering if you are “still in the loop.”<\/p>\n

\u2022 Or what if you are making that forever-popular “bucket list”?\u00a0 Could that mean you are also working on an “exit strategy”?<\/p>\n

\u2022 24\/7.\u00a0 Okay… enough already with the 24\/7.\u00a0 Because… “at the end of the day”…. 24 hours have past.\u00a0 And at the end of the week… seven days have gone by.\u00a0 If you are too busy to use full sentences…. time must really be flying for you.\u00a0 Hence, the Bucket List, I guess.<\/p>\n

\u2022 “With all due respect.”\u00a0 Now here is one that is truly setting you up for a slap in the face.\u00a0 Count on it.\u00a0 Backhanded or not… you are getting five right across the old kisser.<\/p>\n

\u2022 “It was a total nightmare.”\u00a0 This usually comes from the mouth of a woman with lipstick to match the color of her nails.\u00a0 It probably refers directly to the polish on those aforementioned nails.\u00a0 It goes on further to describe what happened when her nails were not all the way dry….. and she was forced to pull something from her pocketbook.\u00a0 Total nightmare.<\/p>\n

“Awesome.”
\n“Throwback” anything.
\n“Game changer.”
\n“Man cave.”
\n“Gluten-free.”<\/p>\n

Perhaps we are all “intellectually bankrupt” at this point.
