{"id":1792,"date":"2014-09-10T23:14:19","date_gmt":"2014-09-11T03:14:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/?p=1792"},"modified":"2014-09-10T23:52:33","modified_gmt":"2014-09-11T03:52:33","slug":"the-incredibles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/?p=1792","title":{"rendered":"The Incredibles."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/shelly.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1793\" src=\"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/shelly.jpg\" alt=\"shelly\" width=\"700\" height=\"522\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/shelly.jpg 700w, https:\/\/gollypolly.com\/30473\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/shelly-300x223.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There truly is so much to be amazed with on our planet.<\/p>\n<p>Honest to goodness.\u00a0 From the very little to the incredibly obvious.<\/p>\n<p>Start with the apparent.\u00a0 Us.\u00a0 As humans, we have an awful lot going for us.\u00a0 Our brains are more than super computers&#8230;.\u00a0 with 86 billion neurons.\u00a0 Each of those little neurons have between 1,000 to 10,000 synapses&#8230;..\u00a0 and then &#8230;.. that results in 125 trillion synapses in the cerebral cortex alone.\u00a0\u00a0 That is at least 1,000 times the number of stars in our galaxy.\u00a0 In other words&#8230; a freaking lot of complexity.<\/p>\n<p>Our bodies match it.\u00a0 Tell your thumb to move up and down.\u00a0 If you are in good operating condition&#8230; it will work.\u00a0 This is amazing.<\/p>\n<p>We have a tendency to take this for granted&#8230; .. from time to time.\u00a0 We don&#8217;t even consider how awesome it is to have the ability to walk, talk, eat, breathe and think freely&#8230; until that certain &#8220;thing&#8221; quits working.<\/p>\n<p>But truly, these are phenomenal, and incredible facts.<\/p>\n<p>Then there is the small&#8230;. which we rarely consider.\u00a0 Iodized salt.\u00a0 Toothbrushes.\u00a0 Gas stations.\u00a0 Electricity.\u00a0 English Muffins.\u00a0 The nose of a dog.\u00a0 An infinite amount of the stupendous&#8230;. surrounds us.<\/p>\n<p>Look at the intricacy and design of ANY small shell &#8230; and you can see all the wonder of the world.\u00a0 The millions and millions of marvels.<\/p>\n<p>Right there.\u00a0 In the palm of your hand.\u00a0 If you truly want to see it.<\/p>\n<p>Yes.\u00a0 If we live in awareness, it is easy to notice the miracles which are everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 Carl Sagan<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There truly is so much to be amazed with on our planet.
