I like a Crow.<\/p>\n

Well… I don’t like to eat crow.\u00a0 And these crow’s feet around my eyes?\u00a0 Well.. not so much.\u00a0 But I DO like to measure distances between two places.. .as the crow flies.\u00a0 And I am crazy about Crow Knees.\u00a0 Get it. Krony’s.<\/p>\n

Most people don’t care for Crows.\u00a0 They are large, and black, and can be quite noisy.<\/p>\n

But the thing of it is… and I’ve used this “age-old-saying” before.\u00a0\u00a0 “You can’t judge a bird by its feathers.”<\/p>\n

Or something.<\/p>\n

Yep.\u00a0 That Crow.\u00a0 The Old Heckle & Jeckle Routine …\u00a0\u00a0 those are some brilliant birds.<\/p>\n

There are about 45 species of crow worldwide….\u00a0 and those types include… treepies, corbies, nutcrackers, bushpies, choughs, and the pica pica.\u00a0\u00a0 Not to mention the raven, and the rook.<\/p>\n

They are often times very faithful.\u00a0 Crows will often remain together for years and some until parted by death.\u00a0\u00a0 It is kind of sweet.\u00a0 But they have a hard time keeping their little wedding rings on their claws.<\/p>\n

Corvids are absolutely fearless.\u00a0\u00a0 They will chase away bigger birds… eagles, and hawks and such.\u00a0\u00a0 On other occasions, they\u2019ll pick up and drop stones, pinecones or sticks on predators or people they come in contact with.<\/p>\n

They can use tools too.\u00a0 Not like a Black & Decker Drill or anything.\u00a0 But simple tools to perform various life tasks.<\/p>\n

They can learn the human language.\u00a0 And Corvids also have great memories.\u00a0 They hide and stash food… and them move it… and stash it again.\u00a0 All the time…remembering exactly where they put it.\u00a0 I have friends that display this same behavior with Reese Cups, and Snickers.<\/p>\n

So why all this Crow Business?\u00a0 Ahhh….well… today… someone called me a Bird Brain.\u00a0 And I said… “Oh yeah?\u00a0 Like a crow?\u00a0 I welcome that observation buddy.”<\/p>\n

Wouldn’t you know it… he just stared at me blankly… and then flipped me the bird.<\/p>\n

And I said… “Yeahhhhh….. NOW you’re catching on.”<\/p>\n

And he thought he was going to ruffle my feathers….<\/p>\n
