I am all over the map here tonight.\u00a0 So if you want to bail\u2026 Do it now.<\/p>\n

First. I will try not to drone about my Geekhood\u2026. But here it is.<\/p>\n

Today, I found a couple of old hard drives.\u00a0 I was cleaning some things out of my office for a charity garage sale, and happened upon them.\u00a0 Now\u2026\u00a0 not only am I a Geek, but I am slightly obsessive compulsive in certain areas of my life.<\/p>\n

I like things to be put away.\u00a0 In their place.\u00a0 Neat and tidy.\u00a0 On top of this, I am compelled to label boxes and such\u2026 which store the things\u2026 which are put away\u2026\u00a0 .. so ever neat and tidy.<\/p>\n

Back to the hard drives.\u00a0 On the outside of the box, I marked:\u00a0 \u201cHard Drives, Dell Dimension \/ Windows, 2006.\u201d\u00a0 And then in parentheses\u2026 \u201cHuge Hard Drives!\u201d<\/p>\n

They were 8 GB capacity.\u00a0 Now this is funny to a geek.\u00a0 You see\u2026 earlier in the day\u2026 I was on my way somewhere and needed to grab a thumb drive.\u00a0 So I popped into a pharmacy and bought a 64 GB USB drive for a little bit of nothing.<\/p>\n

The hard drives I found in my office were as big as four-slice-toasters. \u00a0 And I bet I paid a small fortune for an eighth of the\u00a0 capacity.\u00a0 Are you rolling on the floor laughing right now… Like I WAS?\u00a0 Okay\u2026 So you probably don\u2019t wear pocket protectors either.<\/p>\n

At any rate\u2026 I was getting ready to take the Drives out to the garage and put the sledge hammer to them.\u00a0 But then I decided to try to hook one up to my Mac\u2026 and see what I could see.\u00a0\u00a0 Much to my surprise, I found some photos.\u00a0 Well.. Lots of photos.<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t looked at all of them.\u00a0 Not even close.\u00a0 But I randomly shuffled through.\u00a0 This I will tell you.\u00a0 It was like finding a sunken ship filled with gold doubloons.\u00a0\u00a0 Since then, I have been exploring them and \u2026..\u00a0 remembering and \u2026. traveling back in time.<\/p>\n

But THEN.. It HIT me.\u00a0 Oh no!\u00a0 It is Thursday.\u00a0 I don\u2019t want to do this \u2026. on what the world had deemed \u201cThrowback Thursdays.\u201d<\/p>\n

(OK.\u00a0 Now I will digress.\u00a0 I don\u2019t like Throwback Thursdays because I don\u2019t understand the terminology.\u00a0 The only Throwback I know\u2026 Is when someone is fishing and they throwback the fish.\u00a0 It has nothing to do with going back in time\u2026 That I can figure, at least.)<\/p>\n

I think they should be called Travel-Back Tuesdays.\u00a0 Or\u2026 What the Heck Wednesdays\u2026. Or Memory-Maze Monday.\u00a0 But not \u201cPut Your Fish Back in the Lake\u201d Thursday.<\/p>\n

Anyway\u2026 I have had fun revisiting these times\u2026\u00a0 through these images.\u00a0 It reminds me of all the years\u2026 with those who are….. always\u2026. always\u2026 like treasures in my heart.<\/p>\n

And I can assure you.\u00a0 I will never\u2026 throw them back.<\/p>\n
