Say what you will, but I like TV.\u00a0 In fact, I really like it.<\/p>\n

There are those people who subscribe to the notion that TV is bad for you. Bad for your kids.\u00a0 Rots your brain and dulls your senses.\u00a0 They may be right.<\/p>\n

But for me\u2026 TV is pretty dang snappy.<\/p>\n

It started when I was a little kid.\u00a0 Television was like magic.\u00a0 I could be transported to places that I never dreamed of.\u00a0 It was fun.\u00a0 Captain Kangaroo was my main dude.\u00a0 The Flintstones made me laugh.\u00a0 And Speed Racer taught me to drive.\u00a0\u00a0 Well\u2026 more pointedly\u2026 It was Racer X.<\/p>\n

But back to it.<\/p>\n

You can learn a lot through the programming on television.\u00a0 There are history shows, science shows\u2026\u00a0\u00a0 programs concerning politics, travel, exercise, and more.\u00a0 You can learn how to cook, or sew\u2026 or even how to fix a house.\u00a0 One can learn about ancient myths legends, or antiques.\u00a0\u00a0 You can even pick up a Conspiracy Theory or two\u2026 For the heck of it.<\/p>\n

There are news programs, and current affairs.\u00a0 And of course, lots of \u201centertainment\u201d\u2026. Which is highly subjective.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t much care for this part of TV.\u00a0 I am a tough customer, when it comes to situation comedies.\u00a0 The same goes with dramas, and such.\u00a0 In fact, since Breaking Bad ended, I haven\u2019t watched a \u201cweek – to – week\u201d series in a long time.<\/p>\n

The whole reality TV thing is beyond me too.\u00a0 Any type\u2026 From slobbering bachelors\u2026 To dancing with your scars\u2026. and especially not Big Brother.\u00a0\u00a0 I am not much for those \u201cninja warrior competition\u201d type shows either.<\/p>\n

But give me a movie\u2026 And I\u2019ll show you a box of popcorn with hydrogenated oil on top!\u00a0 Same goes with the NFL.\u00a0 I\u2019m a bit of a junkie when it come to Football\u2026 You Bet.<\/p>\n

Sure enough.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 There are good shows and bad shows.<\/p>\n

So what is my point to all of this?<\/p>\n

Well\u2026. Just that I have learned a lot from people on TV over the years.\u00a0 Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball taught me that women could be funny.\u00a0 Julia Child showed me that more butter\u00a0 should be added to anything.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Captain Kirk and Crew taught me about telecommunications\u2026.. And homer Simpson taught me the most important lesson of all.<\/p>\n
