Do things ever just recklessly pop into your head\u2026. and you think\u2026. \u201cNow where the CRAP did that come from?\u201d<\/p>\n

Like today\u2026 I was chopping up some cauliflower\u2026 and all of a sudden out of nowhere\u2026\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cJessica Hahn\u201d pops into my head.\u00a0 I know the name but can\u2019t remember exactly who she is.\u00a0 Finally it comes back.<\/p>\n

She hasn\u2019t been in the news in a couple of decades.\u00a0 She is best known for a sex scandal involving televangelist Jim Bakker while she was employed as a church secretary. Hahn first came to public attention following Bakker’s announcement in 1987 that he was stepping down as head of PTL (Praise The Lord Network), pending the imminent disclosure of the sexual encounter.\u00a0 According to Hahn, she was drugged and raped by Bakker and another preacher, John Wesley Fletcher.<\/p>\n

But why did it just come to mind\u2026 right here and\u00a0 right now.<\/p>\n

A little later in the day, I am doing some work on a project and here comes another word\u2026 out of nowhere.\u00a0 \u201cAstraZeneca\u201d<\/p>\n

Again, I ask you\u2026 what the heck?\u00a0 AstraZeneca is a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the discovery, and\u00a0 manufacturing of prescription medicines.<\/p>\n

Next on the lineup.\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cHorse Hockey\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 That was the third one.\u00a0\u00a0 In the middle of washing up some dishes\u2026 it came down upon me.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t around horses.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t watching hockey.\u00a0 But there the word came\u2026 like a flash of lightning from the sky\u2026 \u201cHorse Hockey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Does anyone even still use the phrase horse hockey?<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know why this happens to me, but it does.\u00a0 Most of the time the culprit comes in the\u00a0 form of\u00a0 someone\u2019s proper name.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Buster Keaton.\u00a0 John Hinckley Jr.\u00a0 Evander Holyfield.\u00a0 Bea Arthur.\u00a0 My brain just clicks along with an endless barrage of useless information and random thoughts.<\/p>\n

And, I don\u2019t really know why I am writing about it tonight.\u00a0 There is not moral to the story\u2026 or any catchy phrase.\u00a0 It is just that some days\u2026 I feel like I am from another planet.\u00a0 That planet could be a place where random people all gather at a really big arena\u2026 to watch Horse Hockey.<\/p>\n

But this much I swear to you.\u00a0 I am not taking any mind altering drugs made by AstraZeneca.<\/p>\n
