Things just aren\u2019t the way they used to be.\u00a0\u00a0 This is a truth.\u00a0 We are in a world filled with constant change.\u00a0 Oh this is serious\u2026. like garbage disposal serious.<\/p>\n

The fact that things change can be good\u2026 or bad.\u00a0 It all depends, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

Do you ever say to yourself\u2026. \u201cThis shouldn\u2019t be so dang hard?\u201d\u2026.. when you are trying to get something accomplished?<\/p>\n

Point in case.\u00a0 Our freezer went out.\u00a0 Two weeks ago.\u00a0 I have been trying to get a new refrigerator\/freezer in its stead.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I am no closer today then I was two weeks ago.\u00a0 Operator error?\u00a0 I guess it could be.\u00a0 But gall dang it.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It just shouldn\u2019t be THIS HARD.<\/p>\n

What every happened to the day when the Maytag guy would just come to your door and fix it?\u00a0 With his gimpy little grin, his funny little hat\u2026 his bowl-of-jelly-belly.\u00a0 Kind of like Santa Claus\u2026 with a wrench.\u00a0 The Maytag guy is extinct.\u00a0 Like a Dinosaur.<\/p>\n

Now growing up, we never had to call the Maytag guy\u2026. NO Sirrrreeeee.<\/p>\n

That is because we had EVERYTHING Frigidaire.\u00a0 And back in the day\u2026 Frigidaire was KING.\u00a0 That\u2019s where my Dad worked after all.\u00a0 He was a Design Engineer.\u00a0 He had lots of Patents.\u00a0 When I was a kid\u2026 I thought this meant that he wore Girly Shoes when he went to work.\u00a0 Like Shirley Temple Patent Leathers.<\/p>\n

Ah. But I digress.<\/p>\n

I long for the days\u2026.. when you went to buy something, or\u00a0 attempted to get some kind of service, and it actually happened.\u00a0\u00a0 But these times are no more.\u00a0\u00a0 In the world of digital mania, and major technological advances, it appears that we have run ourselves right out of the pan\u2026 and into the fire.<\/p>\n

I miss our freezer.\u00a0 And the days when Frigidaire\u2026 really meant\u2026 frigid air.\u00a0 Now we are at Subzero.\u00a0 Literally.<\/p>\n

Maytag Man.\u00a0 From the Ice Age.\u00a0 Oh for the good old days.<\/p>\n
