\"squirrely\"<\/a>Tonight, I am simply feeling a little squirrely.\u00a0 Or maybe I am just a little nuts.\u00a0\u00a0 Today, I met a very nice squirrel named Joan.\u00a0 Joan was a boy squirrel.\u00a0 His parents had been hoping for a girl.\u00a0 They were huge fans of Joan Jett of Arc.\u00a0 Or something like that. At any rate\u2026.\u00a0\u00a0 I don\u2019t have much to say.\u00a0 Other than I like squirrels.\u00a0 And nuts.<\/p>\n

I like some nuts more than others though.\u00a0 A good salted peanut might be one of my favorites.\u00a0 Pistachios and almonds are rocking too.\u00a0 I know the cashew gets an awful lot of press\u2026 but I think I\u2019d rather have a peanut.\u00a0 Pistachios\u2026. a big yes.<\/p>\n

As far as I can remember\u2026. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever tried an acorn.\u00a0\u00a0 And walnuts are okay\u2026 but way down there.<\/p>\n

Nuts and humans go hand in hand.\u00a0 Well\u2026\u00a0 THAT goes without saying doesn\u2019t it?\u00a0 But we humans have been eating nuts since we first got up on two legs.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0 Scientists did a caboodle of studies on early fossils of homo sapiens.\u00a0\u00a0 They determined we were nut and fruit eaters\u2026. WAY back in the day.<\/p>\n

Yeah, I imagined we probably ticked off a few saber-toothed squirrels in the early times of very hairy men in caves.<\/p>\n

Since then, our relationship with squirrels has evolved.\u00a0 There are plenty of nuts and berries to go ALL the way around.\u00a0 Especially since these days\u2026.most of the very hairy men in caves stick to eating Cheetos, Hot Pockets, and Budweiser.<\/p>\n

THAT will be one for future scientists to figure out.\u00a0 Totally nuts.<\/p>\n
