Today I went to the Humane Society of Preble County.\u00a0 I did not mean to.\u00a0 My car just pulled into the entrance as I was attempting to drive past.<\/p>\n

You see.\u00a0 A few days ago, a friend posted a picture of a little dog named Magoo on my Facebook page.\u00a0 She said I needed this dog.<\/p>\n

Great.\u00a0 NOW the seed is planted.\u00a0 Well, the deal with THAT \u2026. is THIS.\u00a0 Once I get something in my little simple mind, it is very difficult to shake it out.\u00a0 Like tonight, I had the Reds\u2019 Game on the television.\u00a0\u00a0 And what did they do?\u00a0 They went and played the Armor Hotdog Song.\u00a0 Perfect.\u00a0 Now I have THAT little ditty rolling around up there with all the other clutter.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 fat kids, skinny kids, kids with great big humps.\u00a0 Smart kids, ugly kids, kids who like to wear red pumps\u2026 oh, hot dogs\u2026 Arrrrmor hotdogs\u2026..\u201d<\/p>\n

Now it is in YOUR head.<\/p>\n

Anyway.\u00a0 Back to the Humane Society.\u00a0 Why are animal shelters called Pounds?\u00a0 I\u2019ll have to look that one up.<\/p>\n

Anyway.\u00a0 Again.\u00a0 Back to Magoo.\u00a0 The Director Leslie Renner was there, and we talked about a couple of abuse cases in the area, and other things Humane-Society-ish.\u00a0 And then I asked her about Magoo.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 She arranged a private room and I got to meet the little guy.<\/p>\n

Oh my gosh.\u00a0 What a dear.\u00a0 What a cutie.\u00a0 Very smart and sweet.\u00a0 He did not bark like all the other dogs.\u00a0 He was very aware, and yes\u2026 energetic.\u00a0 But he was a total darling.<\/p>\n

But I knew when I met him\u2026 that he wasn\u2019t going to be our dog.\u00a0 He just didn\u2019t seem like he would be the right fit for our family.\u00a0 Years ago, I would have neglected this insight.\u00a0 But today, I just knew.\u00a0 And it was a good thing that I put this notion to rest.<\/p>\n

So I left Magoo.\u00a0 And when I got home, I was welcomed by these three smiling faces.\u00a0 Each of which, I made an pretty quick connection with\u2026\u00a0 a long time ago.<\/p>\n

I truly love\u00a0 those times in life, when my head\u00a0 and my heart and my soul all match up.\u00a0 You just know it, and it feels right.\u00a0 Sometimes that feeling or decision isn\u2019t easy, but deep down inside, your inner self reassures you so.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You know in your gut it is the right thing to do.<\/p>\n

Orrrrr\u2026.. it could be\u2026 that you are just getting hungry for an Armor hotdog.\u00a0 The dog kids love to bite.<\/p>\n
