This world is one big ball of yarn, now isn\u2019t it?\u00a0 Connections.\u00a0 We all are\u2026. connected.\u00a0 If you are living on this planet.. somehow or another you are connected to every other person here.\u00a0 Albeit, we will only meet but a minuscule percentage of the people in this place.\u00a0 I don\u2019t care if you DO have 1,483 friends on Facebook.<\/p>\n

Most of these connections are so far and removed we will never, ever know them.\u00a0 Other than this.\u00a0 Your feet are planted on the same surface of this planet as everyone else\u2019s.\u00a0 Held here.. by the same gravitational force.\u00a0 You get the picture.<\/p>\n

But, thankfully, we are afforded closer, more meaningful interactions.\u00a0 Relationships.<\/p>\n

These come in many different forms.\u00a0 Everything from mere acquaintances, to life-long partners.\u00a0 We have friends, in-laws, co-workers, cousins, bosses, children, parents,\u00a0 car mechanics, siblings, grandchildren, and on and on.<\/p>\n

Some of these relationships last a long, long time.\u00a0 Others are fleeting.\u00a0 And each and everyone of them have a different level of meaning.\u00a0 Some are delicate\u2026 others are tough as nails.<\/p>\n

It is a pretty grand and amazing thing.<\/p>\n

Which brings me to this.<\/p>\n

Today, my Mom was incredibly sad.\u00a0 I go to visit her most every day. But on this day \u2026.\u00a0 she missed my Dad so\u00a0 very much \u2026 and that is all she could think or talk about.\u00a0\u00a0 Heck.\u00a0 There are some days when Mom can\u2019t even remember if she was married.\u00a0 But today, she knew exactly who she had spent her life with\u2026.. and her heart was breaking.<\/p>\n

It made me sad too.\u00a0 And it made me think about being thankful, for those very special people in my life, past, present, and future.<\/p>\n

So. I just wanted to say, I am thankful for you.\u00a0 I am glad our feet share this same earth.\u00a0 It makes me feel fortunate that we are connected.<\/p>\n
