I watch the news.\u00a0\u00a0 There.\u00a0 I\u2019ve said it.<\/p>\n

Some people never do.\u00a0 They say they are better for it.\u00a0 And, I think there is a LOT to be said for that.\u00a0\u00a0 Let\u2019s face it.\u00a0 The news is pretty down trodden.\u00a0\u00a0 The proverbial CRAP is always hitting the fan.\u00a0 There are a lot of mean people in the world.\u00a0 Some are downright evil.\u00a0 There is violence, and destruction.\u00a0 Some days\u2026. it feels like there is\u00a0 everything is falling\u2026. just short of Armageddon.<\/p>\n

So why watch the news?\u00a0 Well.\u00a0 On some level, I feel it is my duty as a Citizen of the Planet. If we are not aware of the things that are going wrong in the world, how can we help make them better?\u00a0\u00a0 There is that old axiom that goes\u2026 \u201cYou can\u2019t solve a problem unless you first acknowledge it.\u201d<\/p>\n

But.\u00a0 But.\u00a0 What power do little old \u201cus\u201d have in this mess any how?\u00a0 Sometimes it feels like nothing.<\/p>\n

Yet.\u00a0 We can speak up when we hear about injustice.\u00a0 We can donate our time, or our talents, or our money to causes which work against these wrong doings.\u00a0 And some times\u2026 just setting the record straight\u2026 is a step in the right direction.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The whole gossip-gone-mad things makes me a little crazy with certain people.<\/p>\n

But it isn\u2019t just people.\u00a0 Heck\u2026 in Australia, scientists recently tagged this Great White Shark that was 9 feet in length.\u00a0 Well.. the thing\u2019s tracking device washed up on a beach a couple of weeks ago.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The data which was recorded on the device, suggested that the shark,\u00a0 was ingested\u2026. by what the scientists\u00a0 have deemed a “colossal cannibal great white shark.”<\/p>\n

See?\u00a0 You know things are getting bad when a great white gets swallowed up by a much larger\u2026 COLSSAL\u2026 fish in the ocean.\u00a0 Great.<\/p>\n

No matter where the news comes from though\u2026 I think things have been tottering the good vs. evil line\u2026.\u00a0 for a very, very long time now.\u00a0\u00a0 Throughout history there have been bad people. Atilla the Hun, Adolf Hitler, Suddham Hussein, Kim Jong Il, Vlad the Impaler\u2026 and so many more.<\/p>\n

So why do people do bad things to other people?\u00a0\u00a0 How come things go all \u201cbat shit crazy\u201d from time to time?\u00a0 Where and how\u2026\u2026\u00a0 does all the mud slinging and food fighting start?\u00a0\u00a0 Once more\u2026 I do not know.<\/p>\n

Hang on though Snoopy.\u00a0 Hang on.<\/p>\n

The happy news is this.\u00a0 There are a lot more good people in the world than bad.\u00a0\u00a0 At least that is what I think.\u00a0\u00a0 And you pretty much know it \u2026.. when you meet the really good ones.\u00a0 They seem to glow\u2026. from with in.\u00a0 Shine.\u00a0 They are warm and kind\u2026 from the truth and goodness in their hearts.\u00a0 It pours right out of them.<\/p>\n

And that is what makes it all worth doing.\u00a0 Worth living.\u00a0 All the people knocking around on this planet that continue trying to do what is right and good.<\/p>\n

Yep.\u00a0 That makes it all worth waking up in the morning.\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2026 and … … . well… for some people… chocolate.<\/p>\n

But I love being with the true-of-heart.\u00a0 Especially,\u00a0 if I have to watch the news.<\/p>\n
