Oh.\u00a0 But it is good to be back home.<\/p>\n

When you look up Homebody in the pages of the good old Webster Red Cover Dictionary \u2026.. a little line drawing of me is right there by the definition.<\/p>\n

On the other hand\u2026 I am a bit of a contradiction.\u00a0 Because I love to travel.\u00a0 While I am there, I sure do. Our last few trips have been absolutely rocking.\u00a0 And for that I am completely thankful.<\/p>\n

I think one of the things that I am drawn to is the whole quest for discovery\u2026 and exploration.\u00a0 And you find it in the darnedest of places.\u00a0 Like\u2026 in the Rochester Airport in Upstate New York.<\/p>\n

Today, while waiting to board our first flight\u2026 we sat in the very near vicinity to Doris and Louise.\u00a0 Now\u2026 I have no idea how these two are connected.\u00a0 But I have to say\u2026 if Doris has a husband\u2026 I can understand why he was not traveling with her.<\/p>\n

Doris was a badger.\u00a0 A little bit of a meanie.\u00a0 She was probably teased as a kid\u2026 relentlessly.\u00a0 And now she feels the need to take it out on someone.\u00a0 Specifically\u2026 the likes of\u2026 Louise.\u00a0 These two went back and forth like a table tennis match.<\/p>\n

Doris would grouse about something Louise was doing.\u00a0 And Louise would use a sheepish\u2026 yet\u2026\u00a0 sarcastic passive aggressive reply\u2026 of some sort or another.<\/p>\n

\u201cLouise.\u00a0 You don\u2019t have to chug your pop.\u00a0 Louise!\u00a0 Don\u2019t chug that!\u00a0 You can take it with you on the plane Louise.\u00a0\u00a0 See?\u00a0 I am taking food on the plane.\u00a0 See Louise?\u00a0 Oh.\u00a0 You better go to the bathroom Louise.\u00a0 We will be boarding soon.\u00a0 Do you have to go to the bathroom Louise?\u00a0 Louise, are you listening to me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Holy carp and holy mackerel.<\/p>\n

On top of their interactions\u2026 there were simultaneously\u00a0 on the phone.\u00a0 Loudly.\u00a0 Repeating the same information over and over again\u2026 to whomever was on the receiving.\u00a0 They would repeat each other\u2019s information.\u00a0\u00a0 Yowza.<\/p>\n

They were heading home too.\u00a0 Home Sweet Home to Atlanta.\u00a0\u00a0 But both of them were born in Rochester.\u00a0 They were just up visiting Danny for the week.\u00a0 (I can only imagine the relief must have been feeling at that moment.\u00a0 They tried to call him with their cell phones.\u00a0 His voice mail picked up.\u00a0 Go figure.)<\/p>\n

Any way.\u00a0 These people always have one of three effects on me.
\n1. Disbelief
\n2. Annoyance
\n3. Thankfulness\u2026 that I don\u2019t have anyone in my life quite like this.\u00a0 And VERY thankful for all the totally great friends that I DO know.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You and you.\u00a0 I love you guys.<\/p>\n

Now Doris and Louise.\u00a0 Well.\u00a0 They may be totally great people once you get to know them.\u00a0 But I am going to leave that as one of the great mysteries in my life.\u00a0 There are a lot of other people\u2026 more positive people\u2026 that I would rather get to know first.<\/p>\n
