What a little corner of the earth we are in\u2026. I\u2019ll tell you.<\/p>\n

It is called, Hammondsport, NY.\u00a0 And I must say\u2026 it is a GEM of a place.\u00a0 In fact, Rand McNally recently named it the \u201cCoolest Little Town In America.\u201d\u00a0 It beat out, none other than our infamous Yellow Springs, Ohio, for this grand distinction.\u00a0 They have a very beautiful lake. \u2026 a quaint downtown\u2026. lots of shops\u2026 with many antiques\u2026 and a bazillion vineyards and wineries.<\/p>\n

But here we are.\u00a0 In Hammondsport.\u00a0 Friends of ours are getting married.\u00a0 So, how in the world did we ever meet friends from Hammondsport?\u00a0 Well.\u00a0 We didn\u2019t.\u00a0 They live in Ohio.\u00a0 Where we do.\u00a0 But they wanted to get married after being together for 20 years.\u00a0 They aren\u2019t allowed to get married in the State of Ohio\u2026. or in most parts of the United States.\u00a0 So they had to go somewhere which thinks they are worthy of getting married.<\/p>\n

They are too of the coolest people you would ever want to meet in all your days.\u00a0 Humanitarians, Philanthropists, Care-Takers, Planet-Conscious-Minded, Tax-Paying, Law Abiding Citizens.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 An Engineer and a Social Worker.\u00a0 So\u2026 it is apropos that they had to travel to the \u201cCoolest Town in America\u201d to hitch the knot.<\/p>\n

And thankfully, we came to NY to share in the joy of their union.<\/p>\n

So yes.\u00a0 This little town is great, and we are having a pretty wonderful time.\u00a0 Our day was packed with exploring.\u00a0 We investigated unknown Antique and Curio Stores.\u00a0\u00a0 We supported the local economy like crazy.\u00a0 We met Chinese Mudmen.\u00a0 They are coming home with us.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Of course\u2026. there had to be a fish taco here and there\u2026. with a side of Sad Sour Cream Sheldon.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 And tonight we went to a big pre-wedding dinner celebration at the Village Tavern.<\/p>\n

I am glad to be here in Hammondsport.\u00a0 And I am particularly glad to be in \u2026. yet another \u2026. state of discovery.\u00a0 Literally<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
