\nDays\u2026 just like the rest of us.. have FEET.<\/p>\n

It is true.<\/p>\n

And some times\u2026 a day can get off on the wrong foot.<\/p>\n

Like when it starts off\u2026 waking you up too early.\u00a0 Then.\u00a0 Miscommunications about times of departure.\u00a0 OR\u2026 the day might get you stuck in traffic on I-70 on the way to the airport.\u00a0 Then perhaps you counted on parking in the airport garage\u2026 because it was pouring down rain.\u00a0 Ahhhh\u2026.. but there really isn\u2019t any parking IN the garage.\u00a0 So you have to park on TOP of the garage\u2026 in the furthest corner.\u00a0 Still pouring down rain.\u00a0 What a day, what a day.<\/p>\n

So now, you are soaking wet.. . and ready to get on a nice long flight on an air-conditioned plane to Atlanta\u2026. only so you can connect in Georgia to get to New York.\u00a0 Perhaps\u2026. THAT kind of wrong FOOT.<\/p>\n

Where did this saying come from?\u00a0 Well\u2026 it derives from old Shakespearean writings\u2026 meaning.. you have two choices.\u00a0 You can either put your best foot forward\u2026 OR\u2026 you can start off on the wrong foot.<\/p>\n

At any rate\u2026\u00a0 Maria Robinson\u2026 once said these fine words:\u00a0 \u201cNobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.\u201d<\/p>\n

I am beginning to learn this is true.<\/p>\n

So you forget about that snap-crappy beginning\u2026. And\u2026..\u00a0 you end up just fine.\u00a0 On your plane\u2026 flying to Atlanta.. and on to NY.\u00a0 You have fun.\u00a0 You talk and laugh\u2026. and take a drive through upper state NY in some beautiful countryside.\u00a0\u00a0 You see old barns, and well kept farms\u2026. healthy deer\u2026\u00a0 picturesque fields. \u2026\u00a0 and Jabba the Hut by a fire ring\u2026 with other alien crime lord types\u2026 and bounty hunters.<\/p>\n

But the best parts are\u2026.stumbling upon a great little restaurant and having the best hamburger EVER…. a\u00a0 Pittsburgher\u2026.\u00a0 and arriving at the lake\u2026 just in time for sunset.\u00a0\u00a0 Yes a sunset.\u00a0 One which is so vibrant it looks like I did a whack-job in Photoshop.\u00a0 But I did not even touch it.<\/p>\n

Yes.\u00a0 Making a new ending.\u00a0 Putting the best foot forward.\u00a0 And running like hell\u00a0 from Jabba the Hut at the fire ring gang.<\/p>\n
