Yesterday we feasted.\u00a0 But I didn\u2019t want to write about it last night\u2026 because I wanted to make sure nothing was coming back to haunt us.<\/p>\n

What\u2026 you ask?\u00a0 Could possible come back\u2026 or more to the point.. come back UP?<\/p>\n

Well\u2026 Sushi for one.\u00a0 Sushi that made a car trip all the way up from Cincinnati on a hot day.\u00a0 That\u2019s what.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Oh\u2026.I did not care.\u00a0 I ate that Sushi like it was going out of style.\u00a0 I love the little rice-wrapped-swimmers.<\/p>\n

A lot of people won\u2019t even try this little delicacy.\u00a0 Probably because of the \u201craw fish\u201d deal.\u00a0\u00a0 Or maybe it is the name.\u00a0 Literally, sushi means “sour-tasting”, a reflection of its historic fermented origins.\u00a0 But it isn\u2019t\u00a0 really that at all\u2026. these days.<\/p>\n

But enough of the fish story.\u00a0 We had the kids over\u2026 both generations.\u00a0 We swam first\u2026 then feasted.\u00a0 As with all feasts\u2026.hungers and preferences\u2026..\u00a0 to each it was\u2026. their own.<\/p>\n

Now.. Titus had the most interesting plate of anyone, I think.\u00a0 He was totally entrenched in pounding down a combination of Cheese Puffs, strawberries, pretzel-roll-bread with butter, and pineapple\u2026 with an occasional bit of medium-rare steak.<\/p>\n

Every once in a while\u2026 his eyes would glaze over and he would slip into a state of semi-consciousness.\u00a0 All of this…. BEFORE the ice cream. \u00a0 The rest of us were a little more main stream.\u00a0 Steak and Chicken Kabobs, Potato Salad, Rolls, Fruit and such.\u00a0 And of course\u2026 all of the Sushi.<\/p>\n

Yes\u2026 that is one thing which is so much fun about a good spread of food.\u00a0 To each it is his own.\u00a0 And that is one of the best things about being a human.\u00a0 Our ability to choose.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Say, perhaps\u2026 you like cole slaw on pepperoni pizza.\u00a0 Who is to say that is SO wrong?<\/p>\n

Thankfully…..\u00a0 Most of us\u2026here in this country\u2026 can choose freely.<\/p>\n

And hopefully\u2026 we respect the rights of others …. to do just that.\u00a0 Choose freely.\u00a0 In all aspects of our lives.<\/p>\n

So here is to being you.\u00a0 And here is to being me.\u00a0\u00a0 Whatever we each shall be.<\/p>\n

And if you like strawberries with your Cheese Puffs\u2026. so be it.\u00a0 Stain On.
