As I sit here this evening wondering what to write\u2026 I stumble a little.<\/p>\n

You see, I have just returned from such a marvelous adventure.\u00a0 I saw castles filled with riches, and Viking ships.\u00a0 I walked through the palaces of Kings, Queens, and Czars \u2026 and \u2026. and\u2026 who could forget the department store in Helsinki?<\/p>\n

So today. Well, let\u2019s see.<\/p>\n

I pulled a dead mole out of the pool.\u00a0 I backwashed the Koi pond about 54 times.\u00a0 Scrubbed outdoor furniture.\u00a0 Laundry.\u00a0 Leaf blowing, weed pulling, and such.\u00a0 Filled the bird feeders.\u00a0 You now.\u00a0 All the usual suspects.\u00a0 Truthfully, it seems a little lame in comparison.<\/p>\n

But is it?\u00a0 I\u2019m not so sure.<\/p>\n

It is simply different.<\/p>\n

It seems we become accustomed to the \u201cevery day\u201d activities of our lives.\u00a0 The repetitive.\u00a0 Punching the time clock, filling our tanks with gas, mowing the lawn, making beds, grocery shopping.\u00a0\u00a0 The whole palooza.<\/p>\n

But today, I had a whole bunch of happy little moments\u2026. all over the place.\u00a0 I saw the coolest little Nuthatch on one of our feeders.\u00a0 (Along with a hundred others).\u00a0 I swam in the pool for the first time this year.\u00a0 We ate amazingly tasty Chinese food for dinner (Yum Yum\u2019s in Oxford.\u00a0 You all need to try it.)\u00a0 There were warmest regards from the Puppy Train, which followed me throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Most certainly, it was all good.<\/p>\n

The best of it is simply this:\u00a0 I am living and breathing.\u00a0 I can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch.\u00a0 Walk. Run. Swim.\u00a0 Jump.\u00a0 I can speak, and think.\u00a0 I am free.\u00a0 There is a shelter over my head, and food on my table.<\/p>\n

To some people\u2026. the things on this list are evasive.\u00a0 But I had them all today.\u00a0 That is miraculous.<\/p>\n

Maybe the excitement doesn\u2019t have to come from visiting a far away land.\u00a0 Perhaps it is even MORE awe-inspiring and breathtaking\u2026 to visit the palaces of my own existence.\u00a0 My heart, my head, my spirit.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 That is where the true riches are.\u00a0 The most magnificent vistas might… in fact…. be right in our own back yards.<\/p>\n
